DOKKEN Split With Drummer Following Punch-Up
September 16, 2002DOKKEN have reportedly parted ways with drummer Mick Brown following an alleged physical altercation between Brown and frontman Don Dokken several days prior to the completion of the band's Rock Fest 2002 tour. As a result, the group performed a show in Tucson, Arizona with L.A. GUNS bassist Adam Hamilton filling in on drums while the tour's projected final date in Los Angeles was cancelled altogether.
This latest development comes on the heels of an incident at the Phoenix stop of the tour, where the DOKKEN singer reportedly stormed onstage during WARRANT's set and reprimanded the latter group for allegedly running over their allotted stage time, thus forcing DOKKEN to risk having to pay a fine due to an early curfew at the venue.
No official announcement has yet been made regarding DOKKEN's or Mick Brown's future plans.
